Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with at least 1 year of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing the costs and value of construction projects, while ensuring they are completed within budget. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in cost estimation, budget preparation, and tender processes.
– Conduct regular site visits to monitor and evaluate construction progress.
– Prepare and submit progress reports to management.
– Assist in negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts.
– Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost control and adherence to project specifications.
– Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs, variations, or claims.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
– Strong understanding of construction processes and contract management.
– Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
– Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying.
